You will now see your configured driver in the scrollable list (see Figure 3.)

6. Create a new Alias

  • Go to Aliases in the main toolbar and select New Alias from the drop-down menu.
  • In the resulting pop-up: Name: type a name of your choice for the alias Driver: choose the driver that you configured above URL:
     jdbc:mysql:<//host>:<port>/<database
            name>
    User Name: username to access the database Figure 4a shows the corresponding entries used for this article.
  • Click OK
  • You will see your newly created Alias in the Alias Scrollable list. (see Figure 4b)
