Note: SMTP relay filters and firewalls
can interfere with the ability of this applet to send the art via email.
If you are having problems with the applet sending art via email, there
is no need to contact us, it is either an SMTP relay filter or a firewall
interfering with creating a socket, neither of which we can do anything
about.

The ili Applet tag:
To embed the applet in a page, use the following tag:
<APPLET CODE="ili11.class" width=400 height=330>
<PARAM NAME=email value="no">
</APPLET>
You can adjust the width and height to suit your pages.
This tag assumes that you are uploading the class files to the same
directory that the HTML pages are uploaded to. If you have the class
files in a separate directory, use a codebase modifier (insert CODEBASE="path")
in the APPLET tag.
The email parameter lets you indicate whether the applet will send the
art via email or not. If you set it to yes, the applet will attempt
to send the art via email if the email checkbox is checked and the email
textfield is filled out. Generally, it will not work due to an SMTP
filter or a firewall, in which case you should set it to no.
To edit existing ASCII art, click the View button, paste it into the
textarea, then click edit.
When you upload this or any applet, you need to use binary mode rather
than ASCII mode. Binary mode is the default mode for a lot of FTP
clients, so generally just upload as normal.
