A customizable animated text menu that gives the illusion of flying in space while allowing different url links to different messages flying by.

Author's Notes:
The starsMenu java applet is a fully customizable animated text menu that gives the illusion of flying in space while allowing different url links to different messages flying by. The applet can be used as:
- an animated menu,
- an advertising banner
- or just to add interactivity to a webpage.
Among the different parameters that can be controlled from the HTML code are:
- the different messages,
- a different color of each message (or a default color for any message that wasn't specified otherwise),
- a different status bar message at the bottom of the browser window,
- a different url to link to upon clicking on the applet window,
- the highlight color of the messages (when the mouse is inside the applet window),
- the target window or frame for the link
- and some control over the speed of the applet.

How To Use:

  • Download stars.zip (21KB)
  • Unzip with a compression utility.
