1. Create a text file containing
all the display text and configuration
details for the applet. The following
is a list of parameters that can be
configured:

Name		Value
----		-----
speed		0-5
background	any valid RGB color
foreground	any valid RGB color
effect		left,right,up,down,
		horizontal,vertical,
		blink,twinkle

To set a parameter insert a line into
the text file in this form:
Name=Value
replacing 'Name' with the names above
and 'Value' with the corresponding value.
If you need help look at the "scoreboard.txt"
file included with this where there are
examples of everything.

2. Insert the following html into the html
of the page on which you want Score Board
to appear:

<applet width="420" height="45" code="ScoreBoard.class">
  <param name="Created by John Morris - www.javaplayground.com" value="void">
  <param name="file" value="scoreboard.txt">
</applet>

You can set the width to whatever you want
but the height must be 45. The author param
tag MUST be included for the applet to work
and MUST look exactly as it does above. The
value of the file param tag is path and
name of the text file from (1). It must
be relative to the ScoreBoard.class file (the
easiest thing to do is place the text file
in the same folder as ScoreBoard.class and
just set the value of the file param tag
to the name of the text file, including the
extension).

3. Place 'ScoreBoard.class' and the text file
into the folder as the html file which will
be using Score Board and open the html file
with your browser to test.
