an extremely small memory footprint built entirely in Java.

Mobile Edition
enables local data access and provides full object data synchronization for
the "occasionally connected" user. Further, the Mobile Edition is
multi-threaded allowing applications that require multiple simultaneous paths
into the database to be developed.
