J-Painter is an image editor that allows drawing within a browser. The resulting image can be saved to the server in PNG, JPEG, and GIF image formats. It can be easily configured for many tasks:
- Outline a sketch
- Draw a road map
- Annotate a photo
- Paint a greeting card
- Draw a diagram
- Advertise
The editor is a pure client-side solution and has no specific server-side requirements. It is implemented as a Java applet, compatible with the most popular browsers: IE (no plug-in is required), Firefox, Netscape on Windows, and Mac platforms.
